Napoleon’s House is a two story house in the oldest neighborhood of Ierapetra, Kato Mera. According to the tradition, Napoleon stayed in that house for one or more days during his short term visit in Crete on his way back from the campaign in Egypt.
Judging by his architectural design, the building is estimated to have been built in the late 18th century or in the begging of the 19th century, without excluding the possibility of an even earlier construction date.
